The Getac X500 is the flagship model among the rugged notebooks. With Intel quad-core processor and 8 GB of fast RAM, the X500 is able to serve the highest demands on performance and robustness. A large 15.6-inch display with Full HD resolution lets you see all the information on the screen at all times. Getac relies on Quadra-Clear technology for the display, which ensures energy efficiency and long-term uniform brightness.
The robustness of the X500 is already evident in the casing. The casing is made of a sturdy magnesium alloy, sealed ports protect against dust and water ingress. This robustness is also reflected in the certifications. The rugged notebook has IP65 and MIL-STD-810G, IP65, MIL-STD-461G and ANSI/ISA 12.12.01 certifications.
Getac’s X500 relies on high flexibility when it comes to connections. Two serial ports let you connect devices you need for work. Additionally, four USB 3.0 ports are available, which you can use for connecting external data carriers, for example. Two Ethernet ports ensure that they remain connected even if problems occur with high probability. If you want to use performance-hungry applications such as CAD software, you can connect a graphics card via an external VGA port.
In Raid mode, the X500 becomes a mobile server. It operates with two 500GB drives in RAID 1 or RAID 0 and can be upgraded up to 5TB. In addition, the device also runs with Windows Server 2016.
